Learn to Sprout


Wheatgrass,Sunflower Greens and Sprout Jars Sprouting at home can be easy and not require fancy sprouting machines.  Sprout Queen's "Learn to Sprout" 2 hour classes cover simple glass/mason jar sprouting and how to grow buckwheat 'lettuce', sunflower and pea greens, and wheatgrass.  Soaking time and methods, surrounding temperatures, and air flow among other things are discussed.  Sprout samples will be offered for tasting. Seed and other sprouting supplies will be available for purchase using cash or check only at the end of class.

Coordinate your own class!
The Sprout Queen will be happy to teach a class at a location you pick based on the following criteria:
  • Hostess plus 6 or more persons
  • Cost: Hostess free, $15* per guest
  • Large table for display of sprouts, greens, and sprouting supplies
  • Preferred days/times: Mon, Tues, Thurs evenings, other days/times can be discussed

    * - For locations located in Charlotte, South Lee, or Collier counties, the fee is $20 per guest.
Jar Sprouting for Kids!
The Sprout Queen offers a class that focuses on sprouting in a jar.  Kids can watch their food grow right in front of their eyes.  Here are the details:
  • 30-45 min lecture/hands on method of jar sprouting
  • Sprout samples for tasting
  • Includes pint size sprout jar for each person
  • 1 tsp seed from one of 4 varieties to sprout
  • Cost: $7 per person, Min: 10 persons
  • Large table for display of sprouts and sprouting supplies
  • Preferred days/times: Mon, Tues, Thurs evenings, other days/times can be discussed
